Training

Training is an essential and central part of cadet life.


During your cadet career you’ll study an academic syllabus. This ranges from map reading to how to use a walkie-talkie radio – but it has a strong emphasis on aviation. You’ll learn the history of flight, the physics of how aircraft fly, and even how jet engines work!

•       Rocket Propulsion

•       Piston Engine

•       Jet Engine

•       Airframes

•       Air Power

•       HIstory RAF

•       History ATC

•       Avionics & Aircraft Electrical Systems

•       First Aid

•       Basic Expedition Training

•       Rifle Handling

 

As a Cadet you can also choose to do a Level 1, 2 or 3 BTEC in Teamwork and Personal Development in the Community. As well as other courses in Leadership and Music BTECs. These courses are provided by Cadet Vocational Qualification Organisation.

Throughout your training you will have to undertake exams, use the guide below to enable you to carry out the exams.
