Ever wondered why our Squadron crest has a swan surrounded by flames, or why we wear the uniform...

We do a host of different activities in the Air Training Corps and we try to enable every cadet...

New Year Honour for WO Moran

We are very pleased to see our Warrant Officer Vic Moran RAFAC honoured in the New Years Honours List with a Commendation from Air Officer Commanding 22 (Training) Group.

WO Moran joined the Air Cadets as a CI in 1992 because his son’s Squadron had no-one to teach first aid.  Two years later he went into uniform as a WO.  In 2006 he transferred to 332 (High Wycombe) Sqn and has been with us ever since.  WO Moran has been the Sector 2 WO for a number of years supporting and assisting several Wing WOs including deputising for the Wing WO as IC Disip at a number of high profile Wing Events.  His continuing dedication to the Squadron and the RAF Air Cadets has benefited hundreds of cadets over the years.

‘I first met WO Moran I was a young cadet, he taught me first aid, all these years later his advice and support has remains invaluable to me.  He effortlessly maintains balance; implementing high standards in uniform, drill and decorum but remains approachable to all cadets.     WO Moran is the best asset 332 Squadron has, his dedicated service has been instrumental in getting us through the challenges of the last few years.’ OC 332

In addition to all he has done for the Air Cadets over the last 25 years WO Moran has a longer history of service and helping the community.  He spent 6 years in the TA with 71 Signal Sqn, Buckinghamshire Yeomanry, he spend 13 years as a Special Constable at Burnham & Maidenhead Police Station and he ran 1st Taplow Cubb Pack for 8 years.

On top of all of this WO Moran and his wife Lin have fostered for over 20 children., They looked after a mixture of restbite and longer terms care children, specialising in helping children in challenging circumstances.

Please join us in congratulating WO Moran whose Commendation is very well deserved.
