Ever wondered why our Squadron crest has a swan surrounded by flames, or why we wear the uniform...

We do a host of different activities in the Air Training Corps and we try to enable every cadet...

A Day Of Celebration

On Sunday 18th September, Cadets from 332 joined cadets from Marlow, Beaconsfield and Penn to commemorate the Battle of Britain. However, this was no ordinary parade. Led by the 332 band, the parade marched proudly through Marlow in Celebration of the sacrifices made and the battle won on the 15th September 1940. Behind the band came the RAF, who were parading the Freedom of the District as a joint event.

As if this joining of events was not enough, this parade also formed part of the 75th Anniversary Celebrations for the Air Training Corps. Hundreds of people turned out to watch and show their support. Bunting was hung across the high street and onlookers crowded the pavement, waving flags and cheering as the band and following parade marched proudly by.

The Band stuck with a traditional line up featuring pieces such as Dambusters, It’s a long way to Tipperary, Pack up your troubles and Keep the home fires burning. When the parade came to a halt, Wreaths were laid and the last post was played. Silence fell over the busy town of Marlow as we all took a moment of reflection before Reveille rang out over the assembled crowd. Following this, we went into the All Saints Church for a Service, gaining another round of applause as we fell out.
