Ever wondered why our Squadron crest has a swan surrounded by flames, or why we wear the uniform...

We do a host of different activities in the Air Training Corps and we try to enable every cadet...

Celebrating 332 - Annual Dinner and Prizegiving 2016

Friday 11th March the Squadrons Cadets, NCOs, Parents and Staff all gathered to celebrate 332 (High Wycombe) Squadron's achievements over the past year and look forward to the year ahead. The evening started in the Oakroom bar where Cadets were able to talk with staff and parents as well as our VIPs, Air Commodore Oborn and Lieutenant Colonel Jones, representatives of the RBL and RAFA and our Wing CO Wing Commander Ross Gilbert. Air Cdre Oborn was born in New Zealand and has had a successful career in the RAF flying the C-130 Hercules before his current post at RAF High Wycombe, and Lt Col Jones is a former 332 (High Wycombe) Squadron Cadet who after a successful career as a member of the corps went on to have a successful career in the Army.

After the introductions were complete our Squadron Warrant Officer Vic Moran bellowed for us to enter the dining hall to begin our meal where Squadron Padre Sqn Ldr Hall gave a wonderful grace and the catering staff treated us to a three course meal and drink aplenty. And then onto the really important part of the night the speeches and the prizes! Flt Lt McCarthy recalled all the incredible things our Cadets have done over the past year and our recent successes at Wing Field Day, Region Field Day, Wing Ex, Overnight Ex and all our sporting achievements. She welcomed our new staff, Cpl Nicholls, CI Mummery and CI Barnes, and thanked those who have been with the Squadron over the past few years and contributed to its success, she also said goodbye to Plt Off Orwell who is taking up more of a role within the Wing Staff Team to continue the development of music across the wing, but will be back once a month to continue to guide the Cadets of 332 enabling them to maintain their musical success.
