Ever wondered why our Squadron crest has a swan surrounded by flames, or why we wear the uniform...

We do a host of different activities in the Air Training Corps and we try to enable every cadet...

Adventure Training

332 sqn takes part in many tasks that can be classed as Adventure Training. This description covers many things. Cadets can take part in climbing either on a climbing wall or in the mountains doing it for real, mountain bikes, raft building, caving or high hope exercise's to name just a few. These can often be linked into other awards. Hill walking and climbing could be included in part of a cadets Duke of Edinburgh Award.

The Sqn itself has had adventure training weekends away. Our last one being Island Resolve. Raft building and climbing were the activities of choice along with leap of faith the point of this being you climb a telegraph pole that about 30 ft up and have to jump to a hanging trapeze that about 12-15 ft away.

The ACO actively organizes adventure training weekends on a regional or national level. So if you've ever fancied honing your skills on a mountain bike course or improve your climbing technique then the ACO can help with all that.
